Center for Academic Planning and Exploration

The Center for Academic Planning and Exploration (CAPE) offers undergraduate students from any of the U Twin Cities campus colleges and schools targeted support in exploring major options. Our services include coaching appointments, drop-ins, a mentor network, and a course, OUE 2001. In addition, for students who know what they would like to major in but need to change colleges within the UMTC campus, CAPE offers coaching and drop-ins with a Change of College Coach.

Best piece of advice for students exploring majors
Be patient with yourself and try not to judge your decisions too quickly or harshly. Choosing a major is both a complex and exciting process, and is good practice for making other decisions later in life. Enjoy the exploration and cherish any opportunity to learn more about yourself and your values.
