POSITION RESPONSIBILITES

Your missions will be discussed during your interview with your supervisor.

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Research and Development Intern. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects, gain hands-on experience in a collaborative R&D environment, and work alongside industry professionals.

Possible Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborative Research:Participate in cross-disciplinary research initiatives focused on developing bio and advanced materials in collaboration with industry partners.
  2. Material Testing:Assist in the testing and evaluation of advanced materials, exploring their properties, and identifying innovative applications.
  3. Project Support:Provide support to ongoing R&D projects, contributing to various stages of development and testing.
  4. Advisory Services:Contribute to advisory services aimed at delivering responsive solutions tailored to the product and process innovation needs of enterprises, particularly those in the Sheffield City Region.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in biosciences, health, materials science, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
We are a leading research and development facility, bringing together industry-recognised equipment and expertise in biosciences, health and materials. Collaborative R&D developing bio and advanced materials with industry partners. Cross-disciplinary collaborations developing and testing advanced materials with, for example, novel and innovative properties and applications. Testing and advisory services to deliver applied, company defined, responsive solutions at a scale, proportionate to the product and process innovation needs of enterprises, including those in the Sheffield City Region.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS:
On-site Supervision and Support
Our internships include 24/7 on-site staff to support students working and living abroad. All students will also report to a supervisor at their internship site. Supervisors provide and oversee daily tasks, introduce the intern to team members, and mentor the intern in organizational agility, skill acquisition, and career readiness. Interns complete a midpoint and final evaluation, and supervisors complete a final evaluation of their interns. All work responsibilities and projects are approved in advance.

Academic Credit
Students on an internship have the opportunity to enroll in their home university for credit, or enroll in a course through API to transfer back to their university for credit. Email support-internships@apiexperience.com for more information and a syllabus.

Housing and Excursions
Housing and excursions are included in your internship and will be selectable during the application process.
