Dock Representative

This is a great position for someone who wants to get their foot in the door in the travel industry or anyone who would enjoy working with people outdoors in beautiful SE Alaska. You will also gain valuable experience working alongside cruise industry professionals.

As a Dock Representative, you are the main point of contact with guests and cruise line shore excursion managers. You will greet and dispatch tour guests on the cruise ship dock in a friendly and professional manner. You will answer guest’s questions about their scheduled tours and be one the first to welcome them to Alaska. You will manage daily tour counts, tour tickets and invoice settlement with the shore excursion managers.

As the first person to greet our clients, it is vital that you make a great first impression. Attention to detail, excellent customer service, conflict resolution and communication skills are required for this position. Be prepared to work outdoors in inclement weather.

Founded in 1978, we are one of Alaska’s most experienced adventure tour companies. We seek to provide unique and memorable Alaskan adventure experiences to our guests as well as our employees.

Each summer we welcome students and recent grads from across the country to join our team. Students will experience living and working in beautiful SE Alaska while gaining valuable experience in the hospitality and adventure travel industries. We offer competitive pay and 10% season completion bonus. Dates of employment are flexible to accommodate student schedules and return before the upcoming semester. Employee Housing is available!
