This is not your typical summer job โ€” it’s an opportunity to mentor, teach, grow personally and professionally, and create life-changing experiences for campers… and yourself.

๐Ÿ•๏ธ Role Overview:

As a Camp Counselor, youโ€™ll play a dual role:

  • Live with and care for a group of 10โ€“14 campers alongside a co-counselor
  • Lead or assist in one of our 60+ activity areas โ€” from sports and arts to adventure, waterfront, and even office/admin roles

Whether you’re a sports enthusiast, artist, lifeguard, organizer, or just someone who loves working with kids, there’s a place for you here.

โœจ Specialties We Offer:

  • Athletics & Sports (soccer, basketball, tennis, etc.)
  • Waterfront Activities (swimming, lifeguarding, boating)
  • Creative Arts (crafts, theater, music)
  • Adventure & Outdoor Rec (ropes course, hiking, nature)
  • Office & Administrative Support

We provide full training on how to create, adapt, and lead activities โ€” no need to be an expert, just eager to learn!

๐Ÿ’ผ Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor a group of campers in your bunk
  • Lead engaging, age-appropriate activities in your area of specialty
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive camp environment
  • Be a role model and source of encouragement for campers every day

๐ŸŒฑ What Youโ€™ll Gain:

  • Leadership & Mentoring Skills: Manage a group, resolve challenges, and build confidence
  • Personal Growth: Learn resilience, flexibility, and communication in a dynamic environment
  • Professional Development: Experience that aligns with education, recreation, or youth development fields
  • Meaningful Impact: Help kids grow, try new things, and make lifelong memories
  • Unmatched Fun: Live, work, and grow in a community that feels like a second family

โœ… Why Choose Camp Weequahic?

  • All-Inclusive Benefits: Salary, housing, meals, uniforms, laundry, and airport pickup
  • Flexible Contracts: Full-season or partial options (must attend orientation June 13โ€“27 and work through July 20 or August 10)
  • Internship & Practicum Friendly: Weโ€™ll work with your school to customize learning outcomes and help you earn credit
  • Supportive Culture: Our mission โ€” “To create an amazing experience for everyone we encounter, through Gratitude, Attitude, and Courage” โ€” guides everything we do
  • Global Community: Staff and campers from across the U.S. and around the world

๐Ÿ™Œ Who Weโ€™re Looking For – We want individuals who are:

  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and open-minded
  • Passionate about working with children
  • Willing to learn and take on new challenges
  • Team players with a growth mindset
  • Experience with children or in your specialty is great โ€” but not required!
