Come spend the summer guiding kayak tours on Lake Superior in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. We are looking for fun, energetic and extremely personable outdoor enthusiasts to add to our adventure staff. Safely lead groups on 2 to 8 hour kayak tours. Give instruction and safety orientations, answer questions, provide narration of local history, geology, folklore and help customers with any needs they might have while kayaking.
Qualifications include but are not limited to No Fear of Water, Kayak experience preferred but not required, a person that is safety orientated and can manage small groups of inexperienced paddlers. Must be 18 years old, friendly, personable, reliable and honest.
Driver’s license, First Aid and CPR/AED certification is mandatory. You must also become certified in Open Water Rescue Training developed in conjunction with the National Park Service and the Department of the Interior.
This is a seasonal job only from May-Sept. Must be in good physical condition and have a great attitude! We pay a flat rate fee of $125 per day to start plus great tips! We do not provide lodging but we do provide a bussing service for all of our employees from Marquette to Munising daily.
